“POWER” Night Wednesdays, starting at 6:30 p.m.
DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE FOR A SPIRITUAL COFFEE BREAK...
POWER UP with your friends at a great time of singing, praying, and, of course, talking over coffee.
What does “POWER” stand for ?
Prayer On Wednesdays Ever Reaching. As a church, we need to pray together in order to be strong and healthy. We need to pray in order to effectively REACH UP to God, REACH IN to each other, and REACH OUT to the world.
What’s involved with it ?
Praise & Prayer Time for Adults, Journey for 9th - 12th Grade, Trek for 6th-8th Grade, T & T Club for 3rd-5th Grade, Sparks for K-2nd Grade, and Nursery for Birth - 5 year-olds.
Why are we having it ?
In prayer, we have the awesome privilege of talking and listening to the God of the universe, the very One who created us. We have the incredible blessing of bringing before Him each other’s needs as well as the needs of our community, our nation, and our world. With AWANA on Wednesdays as well, it provides busy parents a time for a "spiritual coffee break" in the middle of the week to pray and spend time with their friends.
What is the “POWER” Night schedule like ?
Parents will drop their kids off in nursery or at AWANA at 6:30 and head to the Jordan Meeting House for an informal time of fellowship over coffee and refreshments. Adult Prayer & Praise Time will start at 7:00 with favorite songs and sharing what God’s been doing in our lives. Around 7:15, there’ll be a short devotional from the Pastor or other leader.
At 7:25, we’ll take prayer requests and spend some quality time in small group prayer. Following prayer, at 8:00, parents can chat for a few minutes before picking up their kids from nursery or AWANA (ends at 8:20). Sr. High Journey ends at 9:00.
